My name is Jeff Arosteguy and going into this, I spent my whole life thinking I was tough, I’m not so tough. And it humbles you.
Well going into this, I spent my whole life thinking I was tough, I’m not so tough. And it humbles you. And I'm just grateful for what you guys have done and this man and his team at Keck. I'm thankful for every day. I woke up this morning, sun was shining. It's nice because of the rain here, but any day is nice. Every day is a gift. And the work you're doing matters.
I'm grateful to all the employees here, you all have saved my life. I would like to say I've done great things since I've been alive, but I really haven't. But I'd like to. And every day is a gift. Yeah, I'm thankful. Thank you.
And I know I have this big kid sitting over here, and he doesn't know why he's here, but if you want to know what matters to me, it's this woman right here. And that young man right there was what I was personally fighting for, what kept me alive. The first one was tough. When I went to the hospital, I was certain I was gone. I was praying and chanting and saying, I don't want to die today. And I was told people in the ER, I know you all are doing your best, but it's not fast enough, I'm dying here.
It’s so great to meet all of you that have done this work that has kept him alive. I mean, without you, without Dr. Fleischman, this would be a very sad story for him and I. So thank you.
And so they're probably glad that they put me under right away. So I quit chanting and asked for forgiveness for my sins and stuff. But, I'm not a speaker, and I don't know Dr. Fleischman that well, but I love this man and by association, I'm grateful to all the employees here, you all have saved my life. I would like to say I've done great things since I've been alive, but I really haven't. But I'd like to. And every day is a gift. Yeah, I'm thankful. Thank you.
